Maryland Sunday at Valley Forge
The Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, sponsors a different state day every Sunday. Maryland Day is Sunday, October 14, at 2:00 pm. The Maryland DAR will be sponsoriung a bus to this event and we have been invited to join them. The cost is $37 which includes a box lunch (choice of chicken salad or tuna salad sandwiches.)
The pick-up location in Baltimore is at the DAR Chapter House at 4701 Roland Avenue at Oakdale, across the street from St. David's Episcopal Church.
Valley Forge has a Park Visitor's Center with gift shop a short distance from the chapel. The chapel itself features stained glass windows decorated with Revolutionary War figures and historic scenes. There is usually a carillon concert afterwards.
